PSV striker isolated for 4 weeks, 36-year-old diagnosed with active tuberculosis

PSV Eindhoven have announced that one of their players has active tuberculosis. According to De Telegraaf, the player is Lukas Perez, a 36-year-old Spanish striker who flew to the Netherlands at the end of February after a long car trip because he was afraid of flying.

According to Dutch press, people who had close contact with the 36-year-old have been informed. Tuberculosis is an infectious disease that usually affects the lungs and can be transmitted through the air.

In the Champions League play-offs, PSV eliminated Juventus, before being eliminated in the round of 16 by Arsenal. Perez did not play against the Bianconeri, and because he was not on the UEFA list, he has so far accumulated a total of 24 minutes on the pitch.

Media reports indicate that he will remain in isolation for at least four weeks and his condition will be monitored, hoping that the attacker will not have further problems.
