With the conclusion of the major European championships, the race for the “Golden Boot”, the trophy that recognizes the best goalscorer of the season in the European leagues, has also closed. After a long and competitive season, English striker Harry Kane has secured first place in the final standings.

Kane dominated the list for most of the season, confirming his excellent form with Bayern Munich. The 32-year-old striker finished the Bundesliga with 36 goals and 5 assists in 31 games, accumulating 72 points in the Golden Boot standings.

The scoring system for this trophy varies according to the level of the championship: goals in the five major European leagues are worth 2 points, in championships from sixth to twenty-first place they are worth 1.5 points, while in other leagues they are counted at 1 point per goal.

Manchester City's Erling Haaland came in second. The Norwegian scored 27 goals and provided eight assists in the Premier League, finishing the season with 54 points. He won the English championship's Golden Boot for the third time in a row.

The podium was completed by Kylian Mbappe. The Real Madrid striker scored 25 goals in La Liga and won the “Pichichi” trophy again as the top scorer of the Spanish championship. The Frenchman finished the season with 50 points.

One of the surprises of the season was Dinamo Zagreb's Croatian Dion Drena Beljo. He scored 31 goals and 5 assists, accumulating 46.5 points and ranking among the most prominent names of the year.

Equally important was Vedat Muriqi's season with Mallorca. The Kosovar striker scored 23 goals in La Liga and finished the campaign with 46 points, although his team failed to avoid relegation.
