Poland this morning officially announced the benching of coach Mikal Probierz, as successor to Fernando Santos. Probierz was presented at the head of the Polish national team, where he stated that despite the bad situation the representative is going through, there will be no revolution.
" Thank you for the support of the president and the board of directors. I understand that there were many doubts about this choice. I would like you to remember that I worked 20 years to become a coach. I have managed teams in almost 500 games in the elite. I trained many players who are in the national team today. It's not like I'm a casual trainer. I think I deserve this bench after years of work. I didn't succeed? I have not coached Lexia Warsaw or Lech Poznan. However, I have won the Polish Cup and the Polish Supercup with mid-table teams. I am not the most important. The most important thing is the good of the national team.
I want us to work together to rebuild the national team and be proud of it. It's rare to start a job and hear so many negative things about yourself. The atmosphere around the staff is not very good. I appeal to be given the opportunity to work in peace, for the players to come to the gathering with pleasure and for all of us to strive for one goal.
We will not make a revolution and we will not remove Robert Lewandowski in any way. He is the captain and we are not going to suddenly destroy everything. On the pitch we have to take more risks and the players have to try for duels and look for free spaces ", said Probierz.
We remind you that Poland is in a group with Albania, the Czech Republic, Moldova and the Faroe Islands in the "EURO 2024" qualifiers.
