The banner "Kosovo is Serbia" was displayed in the stadium, UEFA fined

UEFA has made the final decision on the Romania-Kosovo match, which was interrupted due to the banner displayed in the Bucharest stadium by the Romanian fans, which read "Kosovo is Serbia".

But UEFA did not let Romania throw "peace" at it, as it has decided to punish the Romanian national team with a match without fans. A fine of 52,000 euros has even been added to this punishment without fans.

Romania will play without the presence of the 12th player in the match against Andorra that will take place in the month of October.

In the 20th minute of the match, an unprecedented event forced the head referee to stop the match until a second decision.

The Romanian ultras of the group "Uniți Sub Tricolor" lit flares and displayed a banner that read "Kosovo is Serbia": a message and political provocation, which left little room for UEFA.

The referee and the match delegate quickly put an end to the doubts and sent the teams back to the dressing rooms, to make it clear that from now on such things will not be tolerated, not even in countries like Romania which has not officially recognized the independence of Kosovo.
