Myrto Uzuni left Spain and Europe in the January transfer window to join the Austin team in the USA. The Albanian national team striker has settled in very well in his new team. The Austin Chronicle report compares the Albanian to Zlatan Ibrahimovic. In an interview with the latter, Uzuni spoke about his career.
" I started playing when I was little and of course I grew up training. This was the only way I had to make it. I wasn't the son of a rich family, I had to work hard to get here. We were a normal family. I dedicated my time to football, that's why I'm here today. I wasn't lucky, but I worked hard.
The first goal with the new team came naturally. I see things better because I read the game very well. At the moment Buka was entering the area, I called him not to lower his head and pass the ball to me. He did as I told him and I scored.
"I don't think I'm selfish or bring that mentality to the team. I want my teammates to look up to me as an example. That's why I work hard, but that doesn't mean I don't make mistakes. I have to work hard to improve ," Uzuni said.
