Andrija Delibasic did not manage to win the most important battle of his life, closing his eyes at the age of 43. The former striker from Montenegro had been suffering from a brain tumor for years and passed away this Wednesday in his hometown.
Delibasic has had a rich career in Spain, having worn the jerseys of Mallorca, Rayo Vallecano, Real Sociedad, as well as Partizan Belgrade, AEK, Benfica, Braga and the Montenegrin national team, with whom he scored 6 goals in 21 matches.
Delibašić was also the sports director at Budućnost Podgordica, when Mladen Milinković was the coach. The latter is remembered in Albania for his experiences with Luftëtari and Kukës.
