FIFA President Gianni Infantino has congratulated the Football Federation of Kosovo on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its membership in the largest world football organization.
Through a post on the social network Instagram, Infantino praised the journey of Kosovar football over the last ten years, emphasizing the continuous progress and positive impact that the sport has had on young people and fans in Kosovo.
" Congratulations to the Football Federation of Kosovo on celebrating 10 years as a FIFA member federation. Over the past decade, football in Kosovo has continued to grow and inspire many young players and fans ," Infantino wrote.
The FIFA president also reaffirmed the institution he leads's commitment to supporting the development of football in Kosovo. In his message, he mentioned the contribution of the late former FFK president, Fadil Vokrri, as well as the work of the current president, Agim Ademi.
" FIFA remains committed to supporting the development of the game in Kosovo, which was initially overseen under the leadership of Fadil Vokrri and continues today by Agim Ademi and his team ," Infantino's statement said.
Kosovo was officially admitted to FIFA on May 13, 2016, in a moment that is considered one of the most important events in the history of Kosovar sports.
