With 10 goals and 5 assists, the Georgian passes Dembele and moves closer to Mbappe as the most decisive player of the season

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia continues to shine for Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, setting a new club record for goal contributions in a single season. According to data published by international sports media, he has reached 10 goals and 5 assists this season.

The attacking midfielder was the protagonist in the semi-final against Bayern Munich, where he scored two goals and helped PSG secure an important result. With a total of 15 goals involved, he surpasses the previous record of Ousmane Dembele, who had registered 8 goals and 6 assists (14 contributions) in the 2024/25 season.

Currently, only Kylian Mbappe has more contributions in this Champions League season, with 16 in total, leaving Kvaratskhelia just behind him in the standings.

His performance in European competition contrasts with his performances in Ligue 1, where he has registered 7 goals and 4 assists in 25 games this season. In the Champions League, he has been significantly more decisive.

Kvaratskhelia had also left his mark last season, when he scored in the final against Inter and ended the tournament with 3 goals and 2 assists in 9 matches.

Before the match, PSG coach Luis Enrique made a humorous comment during the press conference, suggesting that the player could “change nationality to Brazilian,” in response to a question from a TNT Sports Brazil journalist. He ironically highlighted Kvaratskhelia’s playing style, especially his dribbling skills, as reminiscent of Brazilian footballers.
