
As expected, so it happened. The first semi-final between PSG and Bayern Munich was a spectacle. The match played at the Parc des Princes ended with the victory of the reigning European champions with the score 5-4.
The Bavarians took the lead first, thanks to a penalty in the 17th minute, converted by Harry Kane.
After a foul inside the area by Willian Paco on Luis Diaz, the referee had no doubt and pointed his finger at the penalty spot. The usual Harry Kane shot and the ball ended up in the net. A minute later, Michael Oliseh had a golden chance to double the score, but he was not accurate.
The Bavarians' response was quick, where after a long action, an assist from Dezajër Due and a beautiful penetration into the area, it was Khviça Kvaratskhelia who scored a very beautiful goal, tying the scores at 1-1.
In the 31st minute, the Parisians claimed a handball inside the area by Aleksandar Pavlović and asked for a penalty, but the referee continued the game normally. When it was thought that the match would end here and PSG would put one foot in the grand final in Budapest, Bayern scored two more goals, keeping qualification open.
In the 65th minute, Vincent Kompany's team reduced the deficit to 5-3. After a free kick from Kimmich, Upamecano easily deflected his header and sent the ball into the net.
Three minutes later, the German champions made it 5-4. Luis Diaz received a long pass in the box, stopped the ball well and fired into the Parisian goal. There were doubts about offside, but VAR ultimately ruled the goal legal.
The return match between these two teams will be played on May 6 at the Allianz Stadium in Munich, where Bayern will attempt to overturn the deficit to qualify for the final, while PSG travels to Germany to preserve the result of the first leg.
