Rajo Vajekao have taken an important step towards qualifying for the quarterfinals of the Conference League. The Spanish team, where Albanian national team defender Ivan Balliu is active, triumphed in the away match against the Turkish Samsunspor with a score of 3-1, taking an important advantage for the return match at “Vajekas”.
The Spanish team took the lead in the 15th minute through Alemao. Samsunspor reacted quickly and tied the score at 1-1 with a goal from Marius. However, just before the end of the first half, Garcia restored the advantage for Rajon, bringing the score to 2-1. In the 78th minute, Alemao scored his second personal goal, sealing the 3-1 victory for the Spanish team.
Shakhtar Donetsk also took an important step towards the quarterfinals. The Ukrainian team won in Poland against Lech Poznan with a score of 3-1. Strasbourg also achieved a victory on the away leg, defeating Rijeka in Croatia with a score of 2-1, taking a significant advantage for the return match. The goals for the French team were scored by Panicelli and Godot, one in each half, while the home team only narrowed the gap with Majstorovic.
Meanwhile, Alkmaar won at home against Sparta Prague with a score of 2-1. The protagonist for the Dutch team was Parrot, author of both goals for his team, while for Sparta Prague Vojta scored, temporarily setting the tie at 1-1.
