Liverpool have ended the year with a win, defeating Wolverhampton 2-1 at “Anfield Road”, for the 18th week in the Premier League. Initially, Ryan Gravenbersh opened the scoring after a fantastic assist from Jeremy Frimpong. A minute later, Florian Uirc scores the first goal with a Liverpool shirt. The German found the net after a wonderful assist from Hugo Ekitike.
The hosts started the second half very well, finding the advantage with Santiago Bueno, who scored in the 51st minute after the ball came from a corner kick. The score remained unchanged until the end, Liverpool wins 2-1 and ranks 4th with 32 points, Wolverhampton remains at the bottom with only two points.
Arsenal have won their third consecutive league game, winning 2-1 at home to Brighton. The Londoners took the lead in the 14th minute, thanks to a beautiful goal from Martin Odegaard. The Norwegian scored with a beautiful left-footed shot from the edge of the penalty area, after an assist from Bukayo Saka. The first half ended 1-0 for the “Gunners”.
At the start of the second half, Georgino Rutter was unlucky to head the ball into his own net after Declan Rice's cross from a corner kick. Diego Gomez pulled one back for his visitors in the 63rd minute, the Paraguayan midfielder being alert to head home a cross from his teammate that had hit the post.
The score remained unchanged until the end, thanks to a superb performance by David Raja in goal. Arsenal won 2-1 and regained first place with 42 points, two more than second-placed Manchester City. Brighton remained in 12th place with 24 points. In the next match, Burnley drew 0-0 at home to Everton. Armando Broja started, but failed to find the net.
Armando Broja's Burnley were held to a goalless draw at home to Everton. Despite the Albanian striker's team dominating most of the game, registering 16 shots in total, their aim was poor, with none of them hitting the target.
Broja put in a somewhat satisfactory performance, causing problems for the opposing defence in various situations, before being substituted by the coach in the 88th minute, making way for Fleming. This was Burnley's third draw in 18 weeks, as they sit 19th with 12 points.
In other matches, Fulham won the minor London derby away to West Ham, thanks to Raul Jimenez's goal in the 85th minute. Brentford won 4-1 at home to Bournemouth.
