The Olympic Games start with archery, the first world record is set

The Paris 2024 Summer Olympics kicked off with archery and the first world record has already arrived.

Lim Sihyeon closed the women's ranking round with 694 points, setting a new world record in the specialty and establishing herself as the top favorite in the five-lap event.

The South Korean improved by two points the previous record held by her compatriot Chaeyoung Kang, edging out her colleague Suhyeon Nam and China's Xiaolei Yang, who stopped at 688 and 673 points respectively.
