
Dutch driver Max Verstappen secured the "pole position" this afternoon at the Silverstone track, valid for the Formula 1 British Grand Prix. The reigning world champion clocked 1'26"720 with his Red Bull car. being the fastest on the track.
He will share the front row with Britain's Lando Norris in McLaren, who qualified in second place. Today's tests were characterized by a wet track, mainly in the first two sessions of the official tests, as the track dried out further and the times kept getting better, causing surprises not to be missed.
McLaren performed well on this track, securing third place with Oskar Piastri, leaving behind the two Ferrari cars. Shrals Leclerc (fourth) left behind his teammate Carlos Sainz (fifth) and behind them were the two Mercedes cars, with George Russell and Lewis Hamilton.
Alexander Albon, Fernando Alonso and Pier Gasli were also ranked in the "top-10". The Mexican Sergio Perez with Red Bull was disappointed again, who was classified in 16th place, not being able to enter the race for "pole position".
