Manchester United continued their winning streak under Michael Carrick, recording their fourth consecutive win in all competitions. The Old Trafford side triumphed 2-0 over Tottenham, in a match where they dominated the game and used their numerical advantage for more than an hour.
The match was significantly affected by Cristian Romero's red card in the 29th minute. The Tottenham defender was sent off immediately after a harsh tackle on Casemiro, leaving the London team with one less player.
Manchester United took advantage of the situation and took the lead in the first half with a goal from Brian Mbeumo. In the second half, Bruno Fernandes scored the second goal, sealing a 2-0 victory and three more points for the home team.
Mbeumo's goal had a special meaning, as Tottenham coach Thomas Frank was one of the figures who contributed to the French player's development during his time at Brentford.
