The Olympics "dresses up" in red and black, Xhepa and Colturi parade

Albania parades on two stages at the opening ceremony of the "Milano–Cortina 2026" Winter Olympic Games

Following the conclusion of the opening ceremony of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, the parade of participating athletes from 92 countries has begun. This edition, the parade has come differently than previous times, taking place simultaneously in two different countries.

Some of the athletes paraded through the legendary San Siro stadium in Milan, where the main opening ceremony was held, while the rest marched through Cortina d'Ampezzo, where the Olympic competitions are also taking place. This new format created two parallel stages and gave the ceremony a special dimension.

Albania was also represented with a double parade. At the "San Siro" stadium, the red and black flag was carried by skier Deni Xhepa, while in Cortina the flag bearer was skier Lara Colturi, who is also considered a contender for a medal at this Olympics.

In Cortina, Colturi was accompanied by skiers Samire Dauti and Lisa Brunga, as well as the president of the Albanian Ski Federation, Elvis Toci. These four athletes will represent Albania and the red and black colors in the competitions of the "Milano-Cortina 2026" Winter Olympic Games.
