Milan fails to return to winning ways in the championship, drawing 2-2 at home to Sassuolo.
The match at the "San Siro" started with a surprise, as it was the friends from Reggio Emilia who took the lead first through Kone, who took advantage of a mistake in the Milan defense after just 13 minutes of play. The Rossoneri reacted after a lukewarm period and managed to equalize in the 37th minute, with a beautiful goal from youngster Davide Bartesaghi, after a precise assist from Loftus-Cheek.
The second half started at a higher pace for Milan, who achieved the upset thanks again to Bartesaghi, who scored a personal double and the second goal for Pioli's team, confirming his good form in recent matches.
However, despite their dominance and numerous chances, Milan were unable to close out the game. A Rabiot goal was ruled out by VAR for offside, and in the final minutes, Sassuolo equalized through Armand Laurienté, who took advantage of another insecurity in the red and black defense.
