Albania U-19 played today at the "Kukës Arena" stadium the first friendly match against Kosovo U-19, out of two scheduled this week. A beautiful match with many opportunities, which ended with the victory of the Rossoneri with the result 1-0.
The new coach of the U-19 National Team, Ervin Bulku, started the match with this formation: Tomas Kiri, Zylyf Muça, Fabian Përndeca, Adi Kurti, Arlind Kurti, Skerdi Xixho, Oresti Kasmollari, Flavio Sulejmani, Ledio Tresa, Erald Krasniqi , Samuel Cash.
Some of the players are new in this team, which has started the renewal process, but it should be noted that the integration has been quite fast and the presentation of the red and black team has shown this in the best way. The players recently approached by the U-17 National Team were protagonists in this premiere of the new technical staff.
The first half was almost equal with the red and blacks having at least two very good chances for a goal, but luck was not on their side. First, in the 33rd minute, Flavio Sulejmani launched a powerful flying shot from outside the area with the ball hitting the right upright post of the Kosovar goalkeeper.
Following the action was Erald Krasniqi who had another opportunity, but his header after a cross in the center of the area ended up just over the crossbar. Before the end of the first half, Sulejmani hit a header after a cross with the ball that ended up outside, very close to the post, while Samuel Kasa also came very close to the goal with a very nice shot in the air with his right , after a very nice action and with many combinations of red and black.
In the second half, both teams made many substitutions, while Kosovo also tried to hit Albania's goal time after time, but without success. However, the Reds continued to be superior and produced more volume of play. In the 77th minute, Ledio Tresa tried from a distance with the ball that was initially stopped by the defense. Maldin Kacurri, entered the field in the second half, managed to take advantage of the opportunity, hitting the goal, with the Kosovar goalkeeper Miftari doing a miracle avoiding a certain goal.
When everything was coming to an end, in the 90th minute, Albania won a corner with Endri Dama, who crossed in the center of the area, where the goalkeeper Miftari first punched, but the defender Adi Kurti took advantage and hit with his right, scoring and fixing the score at 1-0. A goal that also decided the final result of the match, with coach Ervin Bulku thus recording a victory in his debut on the red and black bench.
So, on June 16, Albania U-19 will play the second match against Kosovo, at the "Kukës Arena" stadium at 10:30.
