Bayern Munich have crowned the season with another success, winning the German Cup after triumphing in the championship. In the final played at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, the Bavarians triumphed with a clean score of 3-0 over Stuttgart.
The first half of the match was characterised by a slow tempo and a lack of clear-cut scoring chances from both teams. However, the game took a different turn in the 55th minute, when Michael Oliseh curled a shot into the area and Harry Kane headed in to give Bayern the lead.
Vincent Kompany's team had the opportunity to double their lead in the 61st minute, but Konrad Laimer failed to convert a golden opportunity, sending the ball over the crossbar.
In the 80th minute, Harry Kane practically sealed the fate of the final. The English striker initially hit the post, but then reacted quickly and sent the ball into the net after an assist from Luis Diaz.
In extra time, Kane completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot, after Angelo Steeler handled the ball inside the area.
With this victory, Bayern Munich lifts the German Cup trophy for the 21st time in history, ending the season with two major trophies.
