Volleyball player Pilar Marie Viktoria Lopez was found dead in her apartment in Bursa, Turkey this morning.
According to foreign media, the 29-year-old did not show up at the morning training of "Nilufer Belediyespor" and team officials were worried about her.
When they arrived at her apartment, they found the young woman dead.
The cause of death has not been announced, while the forensic expertise is awaited, which will clarify the case, while the authorities have started investigations.
Pilar was born in 1995 and was a member of the Puerto Rico National Team. The 1.82m tall volleyball player played for Beziers Angels in France and then moved to Turkey's Nilüfer Belediyespor
