From Zabërgja to Rashica, the former Super League teams qualify Metalist for the semifinals of the Ukrainian Cup

Metalist 1925 has secured a place in the semi-finals of the Ukrainian Cup, after a convincing 3-0 victory over Lokomotiv Kiev today.

The protagonists of the match were three players who were part of the Albanian Super League last season: Baton Zabërgja, Itodo Mandela and Ermir Rashica. All three strikers found the net, sealing an undisputed qualification for their team.

Metalist 1925 took the lead in the first half with a goal scored by Zabërgja. In the second half of the game, Itodo Mandela and then Rashica scored the other two goals, giving shape to the final score of 3-0.

With this clean victory, Metalist 1925 advanced to the semifinals of the Ukrainian Cup, while Lokomotiv Kyiv failed to react to change the course of the match.
