One point away from qualifying for 'EURO 2024'/ Sylvinho: It's

Although only one point away from qualifying for Euro2024, it cannot be said that everything is over for coach Sylvinho.

In an interview for Real Story with journalist Sokol Balla, Sylvinho said that the loss to Poland in Warsaw was a positive signal for the national team.

" The credit goes to the players, they immediately understood that they had a very good opportunity to do great things moving forward, but if we are together, if we are one, they understood. We got the team in January, after a month and a half traveling around meeting the players to get to know each other. We went to Poland and we didn't know what was waiting for us. Poland is a very strong team and in Warsaw, it was a very difficult pitch. There began a journey and they understood that it was important for us to be in the competition. They understood that even though we conceded a goal we had to be focused within the objective, in the last minute we had the opportunity to equalize. I think it was a signal that came to them. They are intelligent, they understand football. With Moldova at home, we had a very good match, as well as in the transfer against the Faroe Islands, is the answer given by the players, but I always say that 'it is not over'. We know how difficult it is to get to the finals of a European. It happened once, we were very close, but I was born in San Paolo and I am clear about this part ", said Sylvinho, adding that anything can happen in football.

" I am a football player and anything can happen in football, it is not easy at all, but the team and we in the Federation are aware that we have to work, part of the work is also what this team gives, which gives the sweat, the soul in field, people see it,"  he further added.
