Tensions and clashes were reported in the early hours of Saturday morning in Budapest, where Arsenal and PSG fans were involved in incidents on the eve of the Champions League final.
According to a statement from the Hungarian Police, authorities are analyzing security camera footage to identify those involved in the clashes. Videos posted on social media show the use of flares, acts of violence and moments of tension in several areas of the city.
Authorities have announced that three fans were arrested on Friday for violent incidents in the fan zone.
To ensure security during the final, around 4,000 police officers have been deployed on the streets of Budapest, while the city has welcomed a large influx of visitors from various European countries. The Puskás Aréna stadium, where the final will be played, has a capacity of over 67,000 spectators. However, reports indicate that more than 20,000 fans have travelled to Budapest without securing a ticket for the match.
Meanwhile, a festive atmosphere has taken over the city. Thousands of PSG supporters have gathered in the streets and squares, singing and unfurling flags and various choreographies in support of their team. High enthusiasm is also observed in the areas where French fans have gathered.
Supporters of the Parisian team are optimistic about the performance of the team led by Luis Enrique, believing that PSG has the potential to triumph in the great European final.
Arsenal fans have also arrived in significant numbers in the Hungarian capital, creating a fiery atmosphere ahead of the challenge that is expected to attract the attention of millions of viewers around the world.
