PSG have set a huge bonus for their players ahead of the Champions League final against Arsenal. According to French media reports, the club's management have promised a bonus of around 1 million euros to each player if the team manages to triumph in the decisive match.
The final will be held at Budapest's Puskas Arena and this financial incentive is considered an additional motivation for the Parisian players. The estimated amount is among the highest ever reported in European football for a club final.
PSG aims to lift the most prestigious trophy at European club level once again. On the eve of the challenge, the French team is considered the favorite on paper, however, the result will be decided on the field of play.
According to French daily L'Equipe, the bonus of around 1 million euros per player is part of an agreement reached between the club and team representatives. Negotiations on the structure of the bonuses were carried out by captain Marquinhos, as well as Ashraf Hakimi, Osman Dembele and Vitinja.
The club had applied a similar reward scheme last season, maintaining the same level of motivation for the players on the eve of the European final.
