UEFA has launched disciplinary proceedings against the Albanian Football Federation (AFF) for incidents including pitch invasion and throwing of objects during Italy's 2-1 defeat in Dortmund at EURO 2024.

European football's governing body said in a statement on Sunday that it had also launched proceedings for the lighting of fireworks by Albanian fans during the Group B match, as well as for "broadcasting a provocative message inappropriate for a sporting event".

UEFA did not provide further details about the message that was allegedly broadcast.

Although the red and black fans turned the Dortmund stadium into a big party, the international organization has signaled actions that contradict its regulations.

The entry of the fan into the field of play in the last minutes of the match, causing the interruption of the match for a few moments, is part of this disciplinary investigation.
