Ronaldo makes history, the first footballer to become a billionaire

Al-Nassr and Portuguese national team striker Cristiano Ronaldo has surpassed the $1.4 billion net worth, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

In June, the 40-year-old signed a new contract with the Saudi club worth over $400 million. From 2002 to 2023, he has earned over $550 million from football alone.

Ronaldo also has a 10-year deal with Nike, which brings him around $18 million a year, as well as partnerships with brands such as Armani and Castrol, which have added over $175 million to his fortune.

His move to Al-Nassr in 2023 secured him around $200 million per year (before taxes), including bonuses and benefits, including a $30 million signing bonus.
