The European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) has unanimously approved the joint candidacy of the Kosovo Volleyball Federation and the Albanian Volleyball Federation for the organization of the European U-16 Championship for boys in 2027.
The decision was made during a meeting of the CEV Board of Administration and was confirmed through an official letter sent by the president of this institution, Roko Sikiric, to the presidents of the two respective federations, Bahri Gjinovci and Erlind Pëllumbi.
According to the decision taken, the championship will take place in the summer of 2027 in the two capitals, Pristina and Tirana. The grand final of the tournament is scheduled to be played in Pristina.
The championship is expected to feature 16 national teams from across Europe. The tournament aims to provide a competitive platform for young European volleyball talents, giving young athletes the opportunity to prove their potential and take the first steps towards an international career in the sport.
