The Albanian and Kosovo national teams learned today, November 20, their opponents for the 2026 World Cup play-off phase.
The Red and Blacks will face Poland on the road. In case of victory, the Albanian National Team will play in the final with the winner of Ukraine-Sweden. The final for Albania will also be played abroad.
Coach Sylvinho says that it is too early to talk about this draw as it will happen until March.
"I expect a different Poland than the one that beat us in my first match. They have changed a lot of players and the coach," said the Brazilian technical commissioner.
Kosovo is set to face Slovakia on the road. If the "Dardans" qualify, they would face the winner of Turkey-Romania at home.
The draw was easy for Italy, who will play Northern Ireland in the semifinals, while in the final, if they qualify, they will face the winner of Wales-Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The semi-final matches will be played on March 26, while the finals will be played on March 31, 2026. The winners of the semi-finals advance to the final of the respective play-off.
