FIFA has also made official the overall ranking for national teams, updated today on July 10, 2025. The Albanian national team holds 68th place in the world, losing two positions from last time.
Draws against Serbia and Latvia in Group K of the World Cup qualifiers have caused the Albanian national football team to lose two positions in the FIFA rankings, with the Rossoneri now ranked 68th in the world. Two years after taking over Albania, Silvinjo is returning the team to where he took it from Edi Reja, right in the position where he found it. The next meeting will be in September, when Silvinjo's team will host their Latvian rivals in Tirana.
On the other hand, the Kosovo representative is in 95th place, gaining two places. The lead continues to be held by Argentina, followed by Spain, France, England, Brazil, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Croatia. Italy is outside the top ten (currently in 11th place).
