Three injured and at least 70 detained by the police is the balance of a violent fight between the fans of Papantinaikos and those of the Cypriot team of AEK Larnaca.
The fight started near the Panathinaikos stadium on Coka street and only 200 meters from the Attica police headquarters.
Eyewitnesses said that first the fans physically fought and then an unidentified person shot several times at the opposing fans, injuring one person in the leg, while two others received injuries from sticks and cutting tools.
At the same time, two people were also injured during the episode, one in the stomach (with scratches) and one in the arm after a blow. The three injured were sent to the hospital, where they are receiving medical assistance.
The police said they escorted at least 70 people and are trying to identify the perpetrator of the gun attack.
Panathaniakos and AEK Latnaka will play a friendly match as part of the preparation for the upcoming football season.
