Adrion Pajaziti was presented to journalists today as the newest player of Hajduk Split. The midfielder of the Albanian national team was officially announced yesterday as part of the famous Croatian club that won the championship title and is getting ready to participate in the Champions League qualifiers with the objective of going as far as possible in this tournament.
" I am truly very happy and proud that they have become part of the Hajduk family. My family is from Kosovo and I have long known the importance and greatness of Hajduk. You just have to walk the streets of Split and on every wall there is a drawing of loyalty and love for Hajduk, everyone here lives for the club.
I will do everything to give Hajduk my maximum and just like I scored a goal in the net of the "whites" last season, from now on I want to do it on the other side. I came to this team that is full of young and quality players. Honestly, I don't feel any pressure, because I have confidence in my abilities and football is happiness and pleasure for me.
"I have spoken with coach Garcia, I know exactly what he wants from me in midfield. Last year I had more freedom in the ranks of Gorica. Here the emphasis is on discipline to carry out my duties", Pajaziti initially said .
He later revealed that the number he had chosen for his jersey, 4, was in honor of his idol, former Croatian footballer Ivan Rakitic, who was also part of Hajduk Split.
"Yes, the number 4 on the jersey is because of Ivan Rakitic, my childhood idol in the period when he was a star at the great Barcelona and we play in the same positions on the field. I have spoken to him when we met in the matches between Gorica and Hajduk, as well as now. His advice definitely made my decision to come to Hajduk easier ," said Pajaziti at his presentation conference.
