Tirana is the biggest loser in the Superior Category. In addition to the fact that it is eighth in the standings and is in danger of falling below, the white and blue team will lose over 630 million old lek at the end of the season, no matter how they go.
And this loss comes in two directions: firstly from not participating in the "Final 4" and automatically losing the opportunity for Europe, and on the other hand, from the fans.
Fans – One of Tirana's biggest losses this season is ticket money. The 12th player of the white and blue team has not been in the stadium, as almost all the white and blue team's matches have been held outside Tirana. With a simple calculation, Tirana has lost about 300 million lekë from tickets alone, as it has not held the matches at "Air Albania".
Europe – Around 350 thousand more euros, the white and blue have lost due to non-participation in Europe. It is now almost official that Tirana cannot qualify for Europe, as it is 13 points from fourth place and outside the Albanian Cup. This means another 330 thousand euros less income for this season. With a simple calculation, the white and blue are short over 630 thousand euros. We recall that, just to start the season, Tirana has spent 400 thousand euros.
Figures – The white and blue club in 2023 has reached a record revenue figure, which has brought it profit, leading it for the second consecutive year as one of the most successful teams in the Superiore, even washing away quite a few past liabilities. Tirana, in the last financial year, has collected 235,792,398 lekë, a large sum, perhaps one of the largest in the Superiore.
Compared to a year ago, the amount is 60 million lek more income. In 2022, income was 171,820,036 lek. The amount of income did not specify tickets or income from player sales, but it must be admitted that from the market and Europe, last season was one of the best, becoming the "cornerstone" in the financial success of the white and blues.
Expenses – Tirana has made "big" expenses or 232,097,333 lekë. The white and blue have paid 18,244,978 lekë for stadium rent. In fact, the Superiore clubs that play not in their stadium have this problem. Then, charter service 16,665,800 lekë, transfers, travel and per diem 8,168,921 lekë. Tirana has paid salaries and bonuses in 32,840,719 lekë, social and health insurance 5,259,538 lekë. Other expenses for players 115,147,006 lekë. There are no fines and damages left behind 11,880,396 lekë, as well as other expenses of about 20,000,000 lekë. As can be seen, many of the items are expenses that could be avoided, such as fines and damages that were large last year, especially from the actions of fans in Europe and during the championship.
Profit – Unlike a year ago, the club's profit is 10 times less, but this is due to the large expenses the team has made for players. In 2023, the profit was 3,981,232 lekë, while in 2022, the profit was 44,629,496.54 lekë or 10 times more than last year. /Panoramasport
