The power crisis that has affected half of Tirana this evening has also affected sports. The match between Dinamo and Vllaznia, valid for the Albanian Super League and held at the national stadium "Air Albania", was interrupted after the first half due to a lack of electricity.
The first half ended with a score of 0-1 for Vllaznia, while the second half was supposed to start at 20:30. But the stadium lighting was not restored and the players did not take to the field. The reason was a serious defect in the electrical network that left a large part of the capital without electricity.
Entire areas such as Ali Demi, Shkoza, Tregu Elektrik, Sauku, Farka, the area around the “Air Albania” stadium, etc., reported a total lack of power supply. A serious problem is suspected in the Unit 2 substation, but so far there has been no official announcement from OSHEE.
