The Superiore referees will be protagonists in the first matches of the "play-off" phase in the Conference League, as UEFA has assigned two different groups to officiate the international matches next Thursday.
The first to take the field will be Juxhin Xhaja, who has been appointed to lead the Basaksehir team against Universitatea Craiova of Romania in the match to be played in Turkey. His assistants in this match are Arbër Zalla and Rejdi Avdo, with Olsid Ferataj appointed as the fourth referee. The VAR duo will also be completely Albanian with Kreshnik Bajramaj as the main referee and Olsion Yzeiraj as his assistant in this match. Basaksehir is a special club, as in recent years it has often been maintained with state funds, being the favorite club of President Erdogan.
Meanwhile, in Prague, Enea Jorgji will take the field in the match between the local Sparta and Riga FC of Latvia. His assistants will be Denis Rexha and Ridiger Çokaj, while Florian Lata has been appointed as the fourth official. In the VAR room, he will have an Italian referee as the main one, Aleandro Di Paolo, while the assistant in VAR is Albert Doda. In this match, Jorgji will thus direct the two Kosovo strikers, Albion Rrahmani and Ermal Krasniqi, who are part of Sparta Prague.
