Michael Schumacher had a terrible skiing accident in the French Alps more than ten years ago, and since then no one has seen him in public. Although many have given up hope that this will happen again, now incredible information is coming out of Germany that the 7-time Formula 1 World Champion could be making an appearance at his daughter's wedding this summer!
Gina-Maria Shumaker will marry her chosen one, Jan Betke, and a big celebration is planned in Majorca, where the Shumaker family has had a villa for six years.
It was rumored that Shumi might sell the villa in Majorca to continue funding Michael's recovery, however this did not happen, but it is suspected that information has emerged that they have moved him from the villa in Switzerland to this Spanish island where he has all the conditions to recovery. With the family keeping absolutely everything about Michael under wraps, no one is quite sure where he is right now, but German media believe he could be seen at the wedding.
Likewise, the Italian daily "Corriere dello Sport" adds that Michael Shumaker is in the mentioned villa in Majorca and it will not be necessary to move him anywhere, as the guests will come to him and the ceremony will be held there.
Interestingly, Korina Shumaker bought this property in 2018 from the president of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, and then everything was remodeled so that Michael practically has a "private clinic", where he is constantly accompanied by medical staff to monitor his health. At the moment, there is no official information whether Michael will actually attend the wedding, as the family is hiding everything, even him - possibly until the wedding ceremony.
By the way, except for the closest family and a few friends, no one has seen Shumaker for ten years. The last we learned about him was from British pilot Johnny Herbert, his former colleague at Benetton:
" Sometimes I hear some things... For example, I heard from some Formula 1 people that Shumaker is sitting at the dining table during dinner, but I don't know if it's true, I can only read between the lines. Everyone will wanted to know what's going on, especially if things are going well. But since we don't have any information, we can only assume that there is still no sign that a full recovery is possible ." - said Herbert and then added worriedly:
" In my opinion, and I have to say, the fact that we haven't heard anything about Shumaker from his family tells me that unfortunately the situation is similar to what it was right after the accident. He doesn't seem to have progressed much since then, so I think that they're waiting for scientists to come up with something that will bring back the Michael we knew and that fans saw on the runway ."
His daughter who will get married this summer is called Gina-Maria Shumaker, she was born in 1997 and is an amateur rider.
