Lamin Jamal also impresses Zinedine Zidane. The Frenchman openly admits his admiration for the Barcelona player. Speaking to “Foot Mercato” during an event in Paris for youth football, he focused on the young Catalan star.
"When you see him play, for example, the second half he did against Inter in the Champions League semi-finals, I've never seen it before in my life. It's impressive to see someone dominate his position like that on the pitch. It was quite fantastic to see, so we liked it, and for that, for all the young players, here's Jamal.
"Everyone has their moment and that's good. In fact, what has always motivated me is the game itself. After all, we grew up in a neighborhood with our friends," said the Frenchman, speaking about the great talent of Barcelona.
Afterwards, Zidane also commented on the fact that he has disappeared from the radar beyond his two experiences as Real Madrid coach.
"I have put my career on hold for a bit, but I feel 100% a coach. Just as I feel part of the French national team, where I played and was practically 12, 13 or 14 years as a player. Of course it is a desire to lead it. But now there is a coach in charge, there is a team, all this must be respected and that is what we are doing. I have always respected football and people, so it is not exactly the moment. But when the moment comes, it will be a pleasure if it is presented as an opportunity", stressed Zidane.
