After the floods, Albania will be hit by frost. Tomorrow afternoon, temperatures will drop significantly across the country, with temperatures forecast to drop to -13 or -14 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas, both in the North and the South-East.
Meanwhile, in the capital, temperatures tomorrow will fluctuate from -4 to 10 degrees Celsius. While on Monday, temperatures in the capital will range from -2 to 6 degrees Celsius. There will be a slight increase from tomorrow, but the country will still remain under the rule of frost.
Bad weather has already hit Western Europe. Storm Goretti, named by Météo-France and the British Meteorological Office, while the German weather agency called it Elli, hit Britain and Germany, bringing heavy snowfall. Winds exceeding 200 kilometers per hour were recorded in Cornwall and Wales, causing power outages: 64,000 homes were left without power due to power outages and 380,000 in France. Many flights were canceled at airports in England, the Netherlands and Belgium. In Germany, snowstorms and low temperatures hit Hamburg, where a similar event had not occurred in thirteen years. Berlin was frozen, with temperatures reaching -15 degrees Celsius, Munich -16 and Warsaw -24.
According to European Copernicus satellite data analyzed by Eumetsat, almost 8 million square kilometers, equal to 80% of Europe, are covered with snow: a record since 2010. Practically the entire continent, except for southern areas such as Italy, the Iberian Peninsula and Greece.
