Is SPAK investigating Edi Rama? Altin Dumani answers

During the 2024 activity report to the Assembly, the head of the Special Prosecution Office Altin Dumani stated that SPAK has not launched an investigation against Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Dumani was asked by Democratic Party MP Luciano Boçi why Prime Minister Edi Rama "has been declared untouchable" by the judiciary.

The head of SPAK said that for this institution there are no untouchable persons, emphasizing that every investigation is conducted based on evidence and not names.

" For SPAK, there is no one untouchable! In every criminal proceeding, the criminal fact is initially investigated and then the perpetrators of the criminal offense are investigated. All these cases that you mentioned, the prosecutors conduct comprehensive investigations. As I have said before, for special prosecutors, names are not important, only evidence is," said Dumani.
