Alban Dokushi has been reinstated as Secretary General of the Municipality of Tirana. The decision was made by the Administrative Court, to which Dokushi had appealed after the acting mayor of Tirana, Anuela Ristani, had dismissed him from his position.
With the Court's decision, Dokushi must be reinstated to his position, as the Administration has considered Ristan's orders invalid.
According to the court, the dismissal was carried out in flagrant violation of the law, constituting a serious violation of legal and procedural standards.
The court decision has immediate effect and is mandatory for implementation.
After the arrest of Erion Veliaj by order of SPAK and a decision of the GJKKO, Prime Minister Edi Rama led the process of his dismissal from office, but also the 'cleansing' of the Municipality of Tirana from those considered "loyalists" or people of the arrested mayor.
And while Rama led the procedures for Veliaj's dismissal, which were considered "null" by the Constitutional Court, the process of dismissals, departures, and resignations under pressure from the Municipality began on the orders of the Prime Minister.
