The appeal of GJKKO overturned the request of Fredi Beler for special permission to take office as the mayor of Himarë.
Lawyer Geni Gjyzari, who represented Fredi Beler in court, stated that they wanted the granting of a special permit to take Beler's oath as mayor, because this is part of the election process, not to go to work.
Speaking on the show "The Unexposed", Gjyzarui said that this case will go to the Human Rights Court in Strasbourg, if the Constitutional Court does not give a decision in their favor.
" Today was the announcement of the decision. The trial was in violation of the Code of Criminal Procedure, because the court of Special Appeal judges with three members, but the judge decided to judge it with one judge. We asked for the dismissal of the judge, because the regular court process requires a regular panel of three judges. It is the first time to our knowledge that this has happened. No, there is no state of emergency in Himara, because it was a free election and it was decided.
