The High State Control will be assisted by the Italian authorities to crack down on abuses in institutions.
The Chairman of the State Audit Office, Arben Shehu, has made an official visit to Rome, near some of the most important institutions of the neighboring country, with which the Supreme State Audit has established cooperation relations. The first meeting was a visit to the Guardia di Finanza where he was received by the Commander-in-Chief of this force, General Andrea De Gennaro.
Shehu and De Gennaro in their conversation emphasized the excellent history of the presence of the Guardia di Finanza in Albania throughout all these years, but also the closer relationship between the two institutions, which will always be developing and consolidating further.

Arben Shehu was also received on an official visit by the President of the National Anti-Corruption Authority (ANAC), Giuseppe Busia.

The cooperation between the High State Control and ANAC has already been consolidated through the training sessions that the auditors of the HSC have developed through the project coordinated by the OSCE. The bilateral meeting once again confirmed the full will and readiness to further strengthen it through the more specialized expertise of ANAC experts, especially in the field of public procurement contracts. KLSH representatives at the invitation of the President of the Italian Court of Accounts Mr. Guido Carlino, made an official visit to this Court for the first time in the institution's history.
The President of the HLSC thanked President Carlino for the special reception and organization of the visit, as well as presented to his counterpart a general framework of the organization and operation of the HLSC institution. In his speech, Shehu emphasized the importance and added value of the cooperation with an institution such as the Italian Court of Accounts in the context of dealing with the most important control issues in the public sector, where the assistance and experience is undoubtedly of the Italian counterpart institution, will serve to increase the auditing capacities of the KLSH.

Shehu and President Carlino expressed beyond their appreciation, their full commitment and willingness to deepen this successful partnership, which will continue with the definition and identification of concrete areas and steps for cooperation, the exchange of material information, but also of visits between technical-professional working groups, to further strengthen cooperation and start a concrete program with well-defined objectives.
