NATO's arms procurement project has been seen by analysts as a potential risk of starting a war.
The international relations expert, Dritan Hoti, has spoken about NATO's latest moves, including the biggest exercise that this organization has ever held, called "Steadfast Defender 24".
According to the expert, this step has been taken specifically for some European countries that are most endangered by Russia, such as Sweden and Finland.
"This is a kind of signal for Russia that there are some limits in what is called military aggressiveness. There are some double messages. The first is that we provide protection in the northern part of Europe. And secondly, we will guarantee the security of every member state", he said.
The NATO plan aims to train 90,000 military troops from the 31 member countries of the alliance, as well as Sweden, invited by the ALLIANCE, with a time limit of four months. However, for expert Hoti, this huge expenditure for NATO could have been managed differently, helping Ukraine.
"Wouldn't it be better that these expenses, that is, a part of them, go to the defense or arming of Ukraine, although we have seen some kind of resistance to this from some countries?", Hoti said in Euronews Albania.
