The arrest of Fredi Beleri, the secretary of OMONIA: If the Supreme Court does not give us a solution, we will turn to Strasbourg

The secretary of OMONIA, Marin Suli, has stated that the case of the mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, will be taken to Strasbourg if no solution is found in Albania.

In an interview for the show "Now" on "Euronews Albania", Suli said that they are waiting for the decision of the Supreme Court to change the security measure against Beler and if this does not happen, they have the file ready which they will take to the court international.

" As we have said before, we are waiting for the Supreme Court to set the date for changing the measure of arrest. Having very little faith in Albanian justice institutions, we have prepared the file to take to Strasbourg, if the need arises. We hope that the Supreme Court will come to its senses and return the matter to the law. The decision of Strasbourg is binding for the Albanian state" , said Suli.
