The arrest of Meta, Spartak Ngjela: the evidence for the former president is secret!

Lawyer Spartak Ngjela says that Albanian politics cannot affect SPAK, as this institution is run by internationals.

Invited to Dritare TV, Ngjela spoke about the arrest of Ilir Meta, as he said that the evidence for his handcuffing is secret.

"SPAK is a legal institution for the fight against corruption and organized crime and is supported by international experts. Until now the evidence for Ilir Meta is secret, we will talk more when the evidence becomes public.

SPAK has started arrests for corruption at high levels and this is important. Any institution can make mistakes, that's why there is a court. There the evidence will be presented. So far we only know the allegations.

I know that Rama cannot influence SPAK because the foreign experts are there. They are the ones who inform SPAK. SPAK has said the secretary of state Antoni Blinken that the USA is leading. Blinken has said that they will eradicate corruption in Albania. It is not simple that they have been immersed in corruption for 20 years", said Ngjela.
