The Turkish ship with over 100 containers that are suspected to be hazardous waste belonging to the "Kurum" company, has been anchored in the outer port of Durrës Port since Monday, while the Prosecutor's Office has issued a seizure order for the containers.
Journalist Klodiana Lala said in the show "Te Paespozuarit", that the Port Authority is not implementing a prosecutor's decision, which, at the very least, is the government's attempt to close the scandal and save Kurumi's image.
" Here all the institutions are turning a blind eye. Today, the Port Authority has responded to the prosecutor's office and said that we cannot implement the order for the seizure of containers, claiming that there are no conditions to monitor 24 hours with cameras, assuming that they carry dangerous substances, they can be a danger to goods and citizens.
So an authority that leaves unimplemented a prosecutor's decision, which, at the very least, is the government's attempt to close the scandal and save Kurumi's image. The ship must go to the port quay and unload the containers for the analysis to be taken. This has not happened.
The prosecution has failed, because when the order is not implemented, it must sign an arrest warrant for abuse of office and take the analyzes to understand what happened. The delay in this story is an attempt to close the scandal, which does not only involve Albania, but has violated international agreements and puts a black mark on it. Most of the media say that the decision was implemented, but it is not true. The ship stands in the middle of the sea.
They can leave it there indefinitely. When there is no media interest, they will say that the remains came out in order and will be buried in some corner" - said Lala.
