"Berisha's punishment is very close," said lawyer Romeo Kara.
During an interview for "Abc News", he emphasized that the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha violated legal security and that he should address the Supreme Court for the invalidity of the acts.
"It cannot give itself justice, it is only the court. Berisha seeks to create political instability. Berisha was a person who subjected people in Albania in violation of the law. There is no chance that he will hold back SPAK, I don't see him pulling back. I believe that the evidence has been given ", he said.
During this interview, he also said that former Prime Minister Berisha allowed himself to be above the law.
"For me it broke all the codes. A judge cannot say there was no evidence, when we have seen the evidence. That is why these measures have been put in place. I think that it is very close to the communication of the accusation, the facts supported by the evidence are very difficult to come out in a moment of impunity, since this person has violated the laws" , said the lawyer.
As for Berisha's calls for protests, he emphasized that they will not bring anything and that for the first time the long-awaited punishment will take place.
"He can do whatever he wants, go to heaven or go under the earth, he will not escape the law. We have seen impunity for over 30 years and for the first time we will have one, and Berisha should not be upset about this", he concluded.
