Christian believers in Albania and around the world celebrate the birth of Christ. As every year, in the capital, the mass of the "Vigil of Christ" was held in Saint Paul's Cathedral. It started at 11:00 pm and continued until midnight as the faithful heard and expressed their prayers.
It was the head of the Metropolitan archdiocese of Tirana-Durrës, Arjan Dodaj, who led the mass for the Catholic faithful.
Meanwhile, in Shkodër, the holy mass was held by the Archbishop of Shkodër-Pult diocese, Monsignor Angelo Massafra.
Also, it is learned that in Durrës the Christmas Eve Mass was held in the Saint Dominic Catholic Church in the area of the former Swamp, while it was also held in other cities.
The believers also conveyed messages of peace and generosity to each other on this marked day.
After the religious ceremonies, believers gather in their homes with their loved ones for a festive lunch and exchange gifts.
