Analyst Andi Bushati says that Prime Minister Edi Rama is now behaving like a boss and no longer hides it.
He told the news edition on MCN TV that Edi Rama's fourth governing term will be the term of complete deepening of autocracy.
On the other hand, Bushati describes the action to free public spaces as propaganda.
" Anyone with a little sense understands that we are dealing with propaganda, but we must go beyond this propaganda, that the municipalities are to blame but Edi Rama is good. The news is that the way Rama is behaving in the municipality shows that in his fourth term he will have no scruples about maintaining a facade of a democratic country."
A man who goes and decides who the directors of the municipalities of Tirana and Vlora will be, shows that he has violated local autonomy, and the signed international charters, that in a democracy the separation of powers is sacred. The new news is not that Rama is removing the tents and chairs from the bars, but as a master, without even having the scruple to hide this.
In Albania, what I say will be done without asking anyone. We have entered authoritarianism, an autocratic power that is no longer hidden. Everyone asks what he decides at the top, whether he will announce elections or not in Tirana. Only one person decides the affairs of the country. And it is only in his head whether elections will be held for Tirana, here the law becomes worthless.
There is no new news that a former militant of Rithemelim becomes director of the Vlora Cadastre, but one thing is certain, an autocratic regime's only chance to stay in power for a long time is to maintain a constant line to destroy any form of opposition. The essence of Edi Rama's idea is that any form of opposition must be destroyed.
The fourth term will be the term of the full deepening of autocracy, Albania has said goodbye to a democratic system. So far, the Socialist Party and Edi Rama have tried to maintain a facade of democracy, so far they no longer have scruples about maintaining such a thing. We are moving towards an Erdoganism and Putism, where the great one knows everything ," he said.
Regarding the Supreme Court's decision to keep Erion Veliaj in prison, Bushati said that it was an expected decision since we were introduced to the names of the judges who would be trying him.
He stated that two of the three judges had previously made similar decisions, had refused to release Ilir Meta, had made the same decision for Lefter Kokas, and that the precedents were for Veliaj to remain in prison.
According to him, the only difference is that Veliaj engaged in a strong propaganda campaign, but he added that this propaganda weapon has no value if it is not supported by the government and Edi Rama.
The Socialist Party has shown that they want Veliaj in prison, in this case we have a typical symbiosis of what SPAK wants, the courts of all levels, with what the government wants.
