Interior Minister Taulant Balla says that the police officers of Police Station No. 1 who did not fully perform their duty in the case of violence in the kindergarten against a 3-year-old girl have been accused of abuse of duty.
Speaking to journalists after the parents' protest in Tirana, Balla emphasized that any form of failure to respond in time to such events is collaboration with the perpetrators. He also added that the police have implemented the order of the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana to arrest the educator.

Minister Taulant Balla : The police have just implemented an order of the Prosecutor's Office to arrest the educator...
Journalist : We should say that it is somewhat delayed or not because the event happened on the 1st.
Minister Taulant Balla : I never comment on justice decisions. While the other actions of the State Police, I believe you are familiar with them. Your journalist colleague Saimir Kodra has communicated directly with me from the first moment, from that moment all the verifications related to the investigations that should have been done by the State Police in time have been done, and therefore we have filed a charge of abuse of office to two employees of the State Police. And this is the occasion to remember that any kind of failure to react in time is a collaboration with the perpetrators. And that's why even in the case of the girl in Vlora, again the reaction of the Minister of the Interior and other law-enforcement agencies was reprehensible in the case of two police officers, who did not do the expert report on the girl in time, so the process of self-cleaning in the State Police follows. Rest assured that I follow closely every chance, I didn't get a chance to meet the protestors because they left too soon...
Journalist: In fact, they did not leave sooner than necessary, because the parents and citizens of Tirana protested for about 2 hours.
Minister Taulant Balla : This is not correct on your part, the truth is that I came down here and found only you. But what is important, I think the message is, is that now is the time to let justice do its job. For justice, I believe that we all have this faith. The new justice that has already arisen on those ruins of the old justice is giving proper signs.
