The diaspora protested in parliament. In Thursday's plenary session, representatives of the diaspora demanded the implementation of the decision of the Constitutional Court and the permission of the diaspora to vote where they live and work.
Two of the protesters, Arbër Lleshi and Elio Shyti, were invited to the show "Real Story", on 'Abcnews', where they gave details about today's protest.
Elio Shyti, who has been living in Germany for many years, said that many immigrants have expressed their willingness while adding that they want to contribute even though they have left the country.
" It is important that in 2025 we no longer need to use the banner and that the issue is resolved. The idea started very spontaneously, since we were waiting for the vote of the immigrants to take place. It started on social networks, we contacted each other and people were very interested. Especially immigrants in Germany, Austria, Italy have shown a lot of interest and were ready to start the protests. A boy said that for 10 years in Italy I haven't had the opportunity to vote and all my youth went away without being able to vote. This is a problem we all have. We were forced to flee from the difficult conditions, but most of them have their heads back and will contribute ", said Elio.
