The Special Court has rejected the request of the former Minister of Defense, Fatmir Mediu, to question the five American witnesses Corneilos Henry 3, David Howell, William Merrit Hart, Sidney Macintyre and Rodney Taylor by video conference. But he accepted the other alternative offered by his lawyers.
The court allowed the witnesses to be questioned by registered letter, further dragging out the process. It is said that during the questioning of the witnesses, another American will be present who will represent the interests of the former Minister of Defense accused of abuse of office.
The questions on which the parties have agreed earlier include the activity of the Sač company during the dismantling of ammunition in Albania, whether or not there was suspended activity, whether or not they had acquaintances with the former minister, but also with other characters mentioned earlier .
In the session, there were debates between the defense who asked for the connection between the accusations and the evidence of SPAK, but they received an answer from the prosecutor of the "Gërdeci 2" case that the damage caused by the March 15 tragedy is evaluated as evidence.
